Where It Started. Why It Matters.

In 2014, the NOLA Love Campaign began in New Orleans as a grassroots social experiment exploring whether intentional, visible messaging could positively influence community environments.

Beginning with 300 signs placed throughout neighborhoods, the project introduced LOVE as a non-political, non-commercial form of presence in areas experiencing high levels of violence and social strain.

By 2015, the initial hypothesis had been proven.

Expansion and Evolution

In September 2021, the project expanded to more directly address mental and emotional wellbeing.

This evolution led to the formation of NOLA Love Legacy, with a guiding principle:

Anyone who sees the LOVE logo receives exactly what they need to keep going.

Organizational Structures

NOLA Love Legacy operates as a for-profit, community-focused initiative that supports fundraising efforts and collaborates with nonprofit organizations, grassroots groups, and community partners.

Operating in this structure allows for flexibility, sustainability, and responsiveness while supporting aligned community-based work.

NOLA Love Legacy maintains independent legal, financial, and operational responsibility in all collaborations.
